IzTech Library is an innovative library pioneering in realizing many firsts in many subjects in Turkey in the field of librarianship: Such as being the first mobile library web-site, first facebook application, first mobile library catalogue scanning, using smart  toolbar and being able to scan library records in  Google books and world catalogue. Either in terms of its physical conditions and actuality of its collections or the information technologies used and in terms of presenting fast and easy access to its advanced and world standard rich database and electronic source collection, it takes place among the best University Libraries of Turkey.  According to a research  done in  2008 by LIBER (European Libraries Association), it has taken place within the best 29 libraries constructed in Europe within the last 4 years.
